The new Chapel will offer awe-inspiring views from its majestic mid-mountain location on Whistler Mountain in Creekside.
The original Whistler Skiers Chapel built in 1967 was situated at the base of Whistler Mountain adjacent to the lift. Over the next few decades, as the mountain resort grew, the Chapel was moved twice from its original location until the cost of moving it again finally become unjustifiable.

  • Whistler Skiers Chapel Location

The proposed location of the new Whistler Skiers Chapel is on a small plot of leased Crown land on Whistler Mountain in Creekside. The Chapel will be tucked into the mountain below an area which some might remember as the Timing Flats area during the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

This proposed site has easy ski-in and ski-out access in the winter and in the spring and summer months access will be via hiking trails. There will also be access, as needed, via a pathway from the small gated parking lot in Timing Flats above. While situated on the mountain, the Chapel will be thoughtfully orientated away from winter ski runs, summer trails, and nearby neighbourhoods, ensuring it is truly integrated into its mountainside setting with majestic views overlooking Powder Mountain. Truly a space of peace and contemplation.
